Since the early days of BOLZ, the training and education of young craftsmen was of great importance. Approximately 300 young people did complete with BOLZ their apprenticeship as a boiler- and vessel manufacturer, plant mechanic, gas-fitter, plumber or engineering draughtsman.

After the restructuring process in 1995, the training activity was suspended for 4 years. At the beginning of 1999, the management of both companies, BOLZ Gerätebau in Eisenharz and Bolz Apparatebau in Wangen worked out a new feasible training concept, which went into effect in September1999.

Despite the considerable financial burden of creating training jobs and the training of young people, both companies consider the training as an obligation to the youth and at the same time an investment into the future.

Since September 1999 five young people are trained again as plant mechanics in a separate trainee workshop of approx. 250 square meters on the premises of Alfred Bolz Apparatebau GmbH. The entire workshop is predestined for the training and equipped with new machines and tools. This infrastructure plus an assigned instructor are ideal prerequisites for a high-standing training of young people.

In co-operation with the local schools the company offers regularly project-days and trial-weeks to the students of the graduation classes.
