In the round plate manufacturing department, BOLZ / EDEL introduced in March 1998 a new 6 m automatic welding bench with clamping jaws for combined plasma and TIG welding.

After having gained experience in plasma welding on the rolling machine for orbital welds, which was already operational for 2 years, our experienced manufacturing team was able to handle the new system successfully within a very short time.

The necessary certification for the production of pressure vessels was granted by TÜV.

From this innovation we expect a considerable quality improvement in the welding technique and a further strengthening of our lead in production technologies.
